Oh, man. I suck.
So all last week I had no printer at work - because my cyan toner was out and I didn't have a replacement. I ordered two but thought I had magenta and yellow standing by.
Guess what?
My magenta toner ran out and when I went to grab the replacement it was for my previous printer.
So - another week without a printer. I hope that the new toner gets here superfast.
I have an ear infection. Thankfully, I also now have antibiotics. Bless the Target clinics.
Happy birthday, Ginger!
This afternoon's antics: Devi starts stalking Pumpkin. Loki, full of bedevilment, stalks and pounces on Devi. Devi runs and hides. Pumpkin is confused.
I was in a bookstore this weekend (they still exist, who knew?) and on a shelf I spotted a Bill Clinton corkscrew with the slogan 'who better to pop your cork?' next to a Hillary Clinton nutcracker. It made me think I miss Clinton, the budget surplus, international respect (though that's getting better), no land wars in Asia, jobs, the worst scandal just lying about sex and let's face it lying about sex is pretty common (that was great, sure I remember your name, I bought the Porsche because of the way it drives). Ah well, the good old days.
Tohoku - Japanese earthquake sculpture.
That is incredible. It's elegant and also stunningly visceral, bringing those lines into 3D. Kudos to the artist.
Faber-Castell Pen Portraits. These are unbelievable. I even watched the video and still don't believe how someone could do these. It boggles the mind.
P-C that is beyond trippy. How?
I just saw one of those on Twitter, and at first I thought, Oh, how cool, you can see where his hand pressed down harder, and then voila! A portrait. Freaky and wonderful.
I'm having a mini flip-out about my signing tonight, and what to wear, and all the stuff I have to do. Deep breaths.
