Oh, I trick-or-treated in HS and college, I just made damn sure I was wearing a costume. And occasionally had a friend's small child with me.

No trick or treaters at all -- pouring rain and a tiny invisible street -- but I was hoping for at least a few, since we've had some kids move to the block in the last few months.
Also, I totally failed to convince Stephen's foil class that it's part of the official rules for team fencing matches that they have to stop to do the Time Warp between bouts if it should happen to come on.
Ran out of candy at 7:45. OK, so was way generous with the last group, but Anna and I were done. We'd had TorTers since about 5, with a long dry spell in there. I'm pretty generous, just cause I don't want to be stuck with candy.
There was a little girl dressed as a ladybug with the most AMAZING face makeup. It was simply beautiful, elegant and just...wow. She was gorgeous.
Also had a junior football team come through in their gear. One kid was all "We just came from practice. Neeeed fuuuuu-eeeeel!" Hah!
I love all the little ones that are just dazed at this point. We sit out on our porches, and so many of those would get their candy....and then try knocking on my door. One little guy was so clearly over-stimulated. He couldn't focus "Cats!" pointing to the cat stickers on my window "MORE CATS!" noticing my mug of spiked cider with cowboy cats on it "OH! CANDY!" noticing the bucket.
"THAT A REAL CAT!!!" seeing Loki in the french doors.
And then he tried to go into my house, to his dad's chagrin.
Yeah, my friends and I went trick-or-treating through high school, but we put effort into our costumes. It was a lot more about the group activity than about the candy, I think.
I sat on the porch with my landlord and gave out candy. Not many people were coming to the side.
The cutest was a little girl (maybe 4) dressed in pink punk outfit. Leopard print (pink), boots, her face was drawn with little spots and hearts and she had a light up mohawk.
There were also teenagers - mostly in camo. Which I don't count as a costume.
Since it was cold it was hard to tell who was in costume in jackets.
There were also what looked like some very young mothers trick or treating with their kids -- as in asking for candy after their kids did. At least I assume they were moms since one of the kids called one of them "Mom".
yeah, my thing is, if it is a 2 year old at my door, fine with the paper bag, but if you are in hs, can't you stick a pumpkin sticker on it or something?
My nieces trick-or-treated into high school, but they totally did it in costume. I see too many older kids without costumes in my neighborhood.
Speaking of nieces, the 19-yo is going to her college party as Katniss Everdeen. I'm so proud!
We went as our characters in the play. We were really a bunch of theatre geeks!
Yeah, I have no problems with teens getting candy, if they are in proper costumes. PROPER costumes, mind you. ::grump::
I went out, but I always in costume, and usually escorting a cousin or something.
Speaking of nieces, the 19-yo is going to her college party as Katniss Everdeen.
Cool!
Calli, as you can tell, I never came and got candy. But I never got any trick-or-treaters, either. I think they come for your cat.
