Well, other bands know more than three chords. Your professional bands can play up to six, sometimes seven, completely different chords.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The cafe downstairs puts aside a cupcake brownie with fudge icing for me every week so I can get two per week. They've even written my name on it.

Which helps me get past my anger at the towing company that lied to me yesterday and was going to be cheerfully late today and still hasn't come for my car yet, and past the random emotional breakdowns I've had so far. I only have to get through five or so hours at work. That's all. Then I can go home, and ... I dunno. But at least I'll be home.

As for prognosis, we don't know yet. We'll know more next week. Right now we're operating on "mass on scan" and "explains a year of symptoms" and "we're sure that's it".

I know any prognosis is going to make me break down. Just because.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Things that make me happy:

Oh! How could I forget? I have the Family Flea in my city now!

Happy things?

My jaw barely hurts post root canal.

It is a beautifully sunny day outside. Which I can see from my new cube.

K-Bug and I are going to see Hair on Sunday.

I'm wearing cute shoes that don't kill my feet.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I can drive down the hill and see the bay and the islands on my way to the grocery store, or the Canadian Coastal mountains ahead of me and Mount Fricken Baker on my right when I go to the mall. Five minutes from the house there's a leafy cliffside drive with an everchanging view of a succession of bays and islands. Or I can walk down to the end of the street, cross the road, and walk around the lake. Even if it's a day I don't get off the couch, just knowing all that's just on the other side of my front door makes me happy.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The cafe downstairs puts aside a cupcake brownie with fudge icing for me every week so I can get two per week. They've even written my name on it.

That's great.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Happy-making things: How one of our dogs looks operatically miserable from walking in the rain and the other (a poodle) looks totally chipper, even though all his curly hair hangs in his face.

not your mom's socks.

ita, I'm so sorry.

What Maria said.

Separately, I hope the tow-truck folks get it together soon.

I am wearing boots, if that helps.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I am wearing safety shoes.

Things that make me happy: awesome tv, my snugglepup, good food, Nora and Tom for neighbors, the crazy morning show on the local hip hop station, my neighborhood.
