Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Looks like New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts are all one state, too.

On behalf of Red Sox Nation, I call bullshit on that.

But, really, all I wanted was someone who I could have as much fun with as I did with my friends.

YES.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

One if the many amusing things about the letter, is that it came from the same company that paid for the ADs that piled about 60 lbs on me in the first place. Well, the ADs and the usual post-diet weight return. But hey, if they know of a diet/exercise regimen that doesn't have a 95% chance of leaving me as fat--or fatter--in 5 years, I'll give it a shot. I'm not planning to burn my stretchy pants any time soon.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

And why are Washington and Oregon made into one state?

Well, that one is not entirely inaccurate.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

The discussion on singletude got me thinking, hard. I feel like I lost my prime dating years thanks to involvement in what I now know was a freak-ass church, and also due to buying in to the pernicious believe that overweight = unworthy and unattractive. In a lot of ways, I feel like PC, only in my 40s.

There's part of me that wonders if my contentment with being single isn't contentment so much as giving up in the face of how goddamn hard it would be to start fresh when I'm 20 years behind the curve.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Dammit, I don't want Bigfoot to come and get me. I guess I do need to move to California.

I sort of feel the same way, Anne. Well, substituting 6 year of family stuff for church stuff, but still. On the other hand, I'm really enjoying life right now, so maybe giving up on one dream made room for others.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

That map is wrong. This is what's coming for California.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

This is what's coming for California.

Yeah, that happens pretty much every week in San Francisco.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

The Birds are coming for us, too. I suppose they'll all have to fight it out eventually, birds vs. vampires vs. giant tentacled things.

Yeah. What I'm feeling is more regret at wasted time and toxic messaging than anything else.

In other news, very much on pins and needles about the World Series tonight. Eek!
