I had a supervisor call me into a come-to-Jesus meeting with the owner, and she wanted me to make a pledge that my work on a particular phase would not have any errors in it. She was horrified when I said, "No, I will not make any such pledge. It's impossible to promise that." She looked at the owner, who said, "She's right, she can't do that. Asking something like that is something the Pointy-Haired Boss would do."
The owner loved Dilbert, and even though he was often an idiot it was nice to have backup, especially geeky backup.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.
They wanted to let me know that a nurse would be calling me with advice on how to be less fat. My level of "bite me, Cigna" cannot be textually rendered.
Oh, fuck them so hard. I was grumpy enough at the person from our mail-order pharmacy company who called to talk to the husband about his medical condition and was urging him to ask his doctor about other medicines to be on.
Really, giant profiteering corporation? I am so sure that you have our best interests in mind, rather than getting him on more drugs so you can make more money.
