You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

I have always had the free shipping from Zappos the very next day. It's almost terrifying; once I ordered shoes at 8pm and they were on my porch at noon the next day. I was like, "Are there magical shoe GNOMES doing the delivery?"

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I think I've not had free overnight shipping one time, but if you can't risk it, don't risk it, you know?

Yep, couldn't risk it, so I ordered the same boots through Amazon instead--prime shipping, and $5 cheaper. I just hope they fit, since I tend to be between sizes.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I saw this article and thought of Hecubus: [link] At least he hasn't taken it to this extreme... yet.

Not my favorite association, Theo!

That actually happens periodically; every two or three years you'll see that pop up in the news cycle.

I have had it take many many days, for Zappos (granted I ordered the Thursday before Thanksgiving, but I didn't get it until after Thanksgiving). I've also had it on my doorstep the next morning. If you need them I wouldn't risk it. If they might just be a better option than something you have already...

So I bought a blouse today, and I can't decide if it's a color I should wear or not! It's not a color green I usually wear, but I can't tell if it looks terrible! And what if the answer is that it does, but I only learn that when I see my mother in the morning? Argh. I guess it's OK.

Wow, two avocados and a couple of small tomatoes make a lot more guacamole than I figured. It's delicious, but way too much for one human at one sitting (ETA: not that I planned to eat two avocados' worth in one sitting. Just, it's a lot of guacamole, is what). Who knew.

I guess I'll be having it at every meal tomorrow. I can't imagine it keeps for long, right? Guacamole English muffin. Guacamole burger. Hm. It might have to last until Monday.

I am pretty pleased, though. It's the first time I've ever made it for myself! Pretty sure it's the first time I've ever bought an avocado. I only developed a taste for them late in life. And they were on sale, so...

You should.
