You know, my big sister could really beat the crap out of her. I mean, really really.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Birthday Kate!

Back from OVFF. Had a great time. Wenched in a clown nose. Heard lots of good music. Saw lots of my friends. Tired now.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

So I'm out in my yard at dusk planting bulbs, trying to beat the rain. And I can hear: someone hammering, birds, dogs, a horse, coyotes, and the first of the evening's elk rut bugling.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Happy Birthday, Kate!

I have a working porch light, back outside outlets, and apparently a new switchplate. Dad got busy today while I was at the pool.

Wandered around the water today, then had mom's birthday dinner at Niwana, a korean/japanese place nearby.

And yes, it looks like I have 4 cats. Loki isn't afraid of her anymore, and she's getting less hissy at him (she hisses at all the cats, but he's the only one actually trying to approach her in an engaging manner.) Devi is being stalkery at times as she did with the other two, has cornered her a few and it sounded like a cat fight, though I'm not certain any blows were exchanged. But tonight she tried to stalk and the kitten wouldn't move. Just hissed. So Devi just...left.

So the poor lady (who shrieks with laughter every time I come in the door, and has a special ita ! kit put aside for me) still has to wrestle with my vascular system.

Which phlebotomist? Because the only one who can draw from Grace is really really really good. The only one there who can get blood from her. Otherwise, we have to go to the pediatric procedures unit, where kids get chemo, because those nurses can get blood from Grace when the phlebotomists can't. But only Dr. I can get them to take us.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Holy crap. So I'm going to fly to Portland for Thanksgiving to see T&G, and it looks like I'm going to pay more for that ticket than I did for the one to France. Urgh.

I'm not good with the planning ahead, clearly.

Yikes! Though aren't fares jacked up around holidays? It's not you, it's them.

Oh yeah, definitely, though I think I would have done better if I had decided to do this a couple of months ago.

Which reminds me, I should maybe buy my Christmas tickets now, too. Everything is sneaking up on me!

A craigslist job listing requests references, but the company doesn't even identify itself. Am I wrong in deciding not to send the references blindly? I don't want my people exposed randomly like that. Paranoid?
