Everyone I'm dealing with at my place of employment is losing their fucking minds.
I am clearly not deferential enough to power. CLEARLY.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Wait, you work here?
Seriously, today has amped up the crazy-cakes to whole new levels. Instead of crazy-cakes, we're like crazy-pie-baked-in-a-cakes.
So ... a pastry form of crazy-turducken?
msbelle, IME, low-carb is the way to go. But I know low-carb isn't for everyone, so I don't want to seem like I'm "pushing" it. I can't do the really strict under-25-grams-a-day anymore, but keeping carbs to 100 grams a day or less is totally do-able for me. The belly fat, I think, comes from insulin resistance plus too much sugar. How much sugar and/or bread is too much, YMWV. For me, no bread and very little sugar. But that's enough for me to lose 3-5 pounds a week with a little exercise. The last couple weeks of March, I lost 11 pounds. Then my period happened and I fell into a bowl of corn chips and had trouble getting out again. Back on track as of today. I want to lose a hundred pounds, and I'm going to do it by November, or damn close.
Stronger ab muscles means the fat sits better -- looking rounded instead of slack.
Speaking of exercise, has anyone ever dealt with an organization called Team in Training from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society? They help you train (and fund-raise) for a marathon or hike. Sounds useful as a commitment device, anyway.
They work with a few charities - I did the Marine Corp Marathon training with them about 10 years ago for t memfault some AIDS organization. Legit, and pretty well known/organized.

They're everywhere in the exercise world. My brother did a stint with them when he was training for some mini-triathlons, liked them well enough.
Oops. Wrong thread.
