You like ships. You don't seem to be looking at the destinations. What you care about is the ships, and mine's the nicest.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Happy Birthday Man with the Awesome Smile!

I'm sure it will be fine, but it chafes.

Yesterday I went back to the office after being out for 3 days last week, and discovered that in prep for a bigwig visit, my manager had gone in and neatened up my office and cleaned one of the counter tops which had gotten some scuffs that nothing seemed to get off, except for this stuff she found which did get them off. Unfortunately the stuff she found is stuff I'm allergic to.

I'll just hide behind this tree. . . nobody can find me now!

hip deep in pie

And this will allow her to go back in time to notify her past self and re-plan her day's objectives accordingly?

Right??

All these added layers of crap are just making me feel that I need to get out of here. I am, however, terrible at planning/exit strategies. Which is why I have somehow made a profession out of something I thought was going to be temporary. I need some kind of life coach.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Happy Birthday, Tom!

It is snowing here...we got a few inches overnight and it is still coming down. Third day of APRIL people. We got NO snow in March. WTF?

Amy - Apr 03, 2012 5:52:08 am PDT #29307 of 30001
Because books.

Ugh, Suzi. That's not very nice.

Baking types: If a recipe calls for a half cup of butter and a half cup of shortening, can I just use all butter instead?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Happy birthday, Tom!

I have to fill in calendars that indicate whether I was in or not. I never gave much thought to it. They keep attendance numbers, and the source must be recorded somewhere, so why not there?

I am trying to shop for guava jam, since I've stretched out what I brought home from home as long as I can. It's amazing how much prices vary, and how unclear it is if everyone means the same thing by guava jam as we do. V. confusing. I will have to go by brand, and apparently the internet has never heard of the brand I bought when I was last there.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Amy, you COULD - it'll change the texture, but won't destroy it.

And Happy Birthday Tom!

Amy - Apr 03, 2012 6:02:11 am PDT #29310 of 30001
Because books.

Thanks, Todd. I'm going to give a shot because I have no way to get out and get shortening today, and snickerdoodles are calling my name.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Happy birthday, Tom!
