I thought that you weren't supposed to do that now, because if the tick is carrying Lyme disease, then the heat makes it more likely to release the bacteria into the blood.
Back when I was around dogs that could have ticks, we were still thrilled at the idea of color TV, and we eavesdropped on our neighbors over the party line.

Am doing well, despite getting 5 hours of sleep at most. (Didn't get home until after 12:30 am from the concert, and it was around 1:30 when I turned out my light. Alarm went off at 6:30, as usual.) It'll probably hit me tomorrow.

Looks like the suspect walked up to customer service in "my" Safeway (adjacent to the Trader Joes where Suzi's K-bug used to work) in Alameda and told them that he had "shot some people". He was apprehended there. [link]
