Up was super super sad. But I would not bring a kid under 13 or so to Hunger Games. Maybe a 12 year old or 11 year old with heavy prepping and if they'd already read the book.

Skipping to apologize, while it's at least the right month, because I didn't have any computer access during the entire two couple of days, so I've missed wishing libkitty on time for her birthday (which was the 30th of March).

Happy third-day-of-your-new-age, libkitty! With lots of wishes for a great, um, weekend? And a wonderful year!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Insomniac/hip pain posting:

He called to tell me he had a really nice day, there is a literature thing going on in Oxford and he'd just come back from some sort of thing with Derek Landy and got to hear him talk about Skullduggery Pleasant

Holy crap. He's an author I would pay to see speak. That's awesome. I'm only moderately seething with jealousy.

Come on, ibuprofen. You can start working on my hip any time now.

OMFG, there is a picture of my dad (thankfully obscured, but I know that cap and stupid grey jeans) in the fucking Daily Mail. I knew he was out on a mission in the Gila for a missing long distance runner, so odd to come across it in a crappy gossipy UK rag.

Oh, and cleaning-up files on the computer and putting order in them counts as cleaning stuff up for Pessakh, right? So in between stuff, now that I have my computer up and running again, I can at least share [link]

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Totally! I've had exactly no free time this past week, so I'm going to do a quick essentials-only cleaning today, I think.

Those pictures are all adorable.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Anybody want to come to my house and clean for Pessakh? I'm not Jewish, but it would indeed be a Mission from God.

Our wings are not tired.

I can at least share [link]

Thank you! Lovely joyful pictures!
