Sweet lumpy minion, you're the only one that understands. Probably 'cause I haven't sucked the brain out of you yet.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Ganache is whipped and cupcakes are done. Ganache is my one true frosting.

I made 5 dozen cupcakes. They are all the chocolate CI ones, with the sour cream... the super dense crumb ones. Four dozen are frosted with buttercream.

The last dozen? I wanted to make a whipped whiskey frosting but Katie said no. So I did a center fill with buttercream and then frosted with ganache. yum yum yum.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You're going to have security onsite. I don't see what the issue is. God, significant others can be such party poopers.

Ganache is the only frosting I'll go face down in. It's just made to my specifications. However, I'm not going to look askance at the whiskey thing. Want to date me, Kat?

I was supposed to work before I went to bed, but Kat has not left K for me, despite me being willing to overlook, nay encourage the liquor thing, so I'm crushed with rejection and am going to go to bed, just as soon as I send another pleading email to my migraine doctor (whose email address I got due to one of those cc mixups) to rescue me from the ER cutting me off. They didn't reach out to him, and my messages to him got lost in the phone system, because I've been trying to get him to talk to them for days now.

I'm terrified about tomorrow night. This has been a long sucky March, and I can't do April the same way. My manager doesn't have to be this nice to me, and stakes will be risen, and I'm still grabbing responsibility for everything that wanders past my plate.

Which I could stop, but then I feel I'm not needed so much, and I can't be there so much...and I really want to keep this job.

Our wings are not tired.

Sending responsive vibes toward its !'s doctor. In a right and just world the doctor and ER would establish an approved protocol that attending ER staff will follow without question or debate. In my version of a perfect world ita !'s doctor would find a solution that would make ER visits unnecessary.

I can see a bouncer watching over the twins and friends, keeping them from getting too unruly. Bouncer would have to toss the offenders into the bounce house as punishment.

I envision a bouncer being completely defeated by Noah and Grace...

To market, to market, to buy a fresh....spinach?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

ita, you might not have been in the office much, but you've been damned effective, so I'm glad that's what your manager seems to care about. And exactly what Laura said.

ita ! Where is your pin of awesomeness? PUT IT ON.

Eta: dear autocorrect, do not capitalize for me, pls.

Art Crawl!!!

The cupcakes sound yummy. I want to go to Grace and Noah's party!

Watching the Dubai World Cup races. Missed the first one due to sloth. Second one was a disaster ( horse fell and was destroyed - the race was called off because they couldn't move the fallen horse before the other races came round the track again. Poor thing. Lucky he was on the outside of the pack though.)

Aidan O'Brian's son is still race riding even though he's 5'11'. Tall and super skinny.

The horse that won the UAE Derby is completely American bloodlines though trained and raced in Ireland and the UK. The "American" entry was actually bred in Ireland. I think he got up for 4th - not sure.

Yes, I had to add ita to my dictionaries. I don't mind the auto-correcting of my backwards ie and ei, but trust me to spell peoples names right!

That is sad, sumi. The tall jockey reminds me of one of our friends. He was asking DH how often gets asked if he plays basketball. DH asked friend if he often gets asked if he is a jockey. Ends up friend's twin brother was a jockey! Dude is about 5'4". We didn't know he had a brother. They joke about it often.
