Right now, my sister is operating (in conjunction with the Dean of her department and another recipient of the same email and attention from the same student) with the assumption that the entire study is a fabrication in order to...
Actually, I don't get that bit. But they can't find
any
substance behind it, though she's still going to reach out and respond as if it is some sort of valid academic inquiry.
There's just no there there.
Which would mean that there's a student who's made at least two unaccepted overtures to university lecturers, and tales are coming out about perhaps more approaches to students that cross over into harassment.
Something that my sister was totally going to move on past, even though chickie's still in her class, and just ignore, but has now been made into a thing. And now? Now my sister is mad. She has some concept of social justice here, and preventing the woman from being able to bother other students in any fashion, but I say fuck it all to hell and make her bleed. As a favourite character of mine opined "Don't start none, won't be none!"
Fuck shit up. Entirely older sister endorsed.
I so have no place to covet shoes! All I wear anymore are clogs and flip flops. sigh.
But I may take a look for some dresses for you, msbelle, just 'cause.

Oh no! As bad as harassing teachers is, harassing students is way worse.
Wait, the student had approached another teacher as well? Wow.
I think I just need to start seriously sewing my own stuff, you know, in all the free time I have. Maybe I can hire a local seamstress. I have vintage patterns already and can pick fabric to be exactly what I want. I feel a plan hatching.
Fuck shit up. Entirely older sister endorsed.
Damn right. Because this gets creepier and creepier, and your sister should stomp on this hard.
sounds to me like this is under "academic misconduct" and the institution likely has a "code of conduct" that I am certain the student has already broken.
In non-crazy work news - my boss's boss called me with my raise information and thanking me for my service to the company. I'm getting a 3% bump, which is apparently higher than the company average. Woot!
In crazy work news - why is it so hard to spell my name right in an e-mail. It is RIGHT THERE...must you change the "i" to a "y"? Really?

Oh, I hate that. Pay attention, people! Something came home from school for Sara yesterday and it was spelled "Sarah". Not on, school.
Also, yay raise!

Yup. She has to wait until Monday to find the exact text, and then she's going to send off her case.
She talked about being in a better position to get justice than a student would be, and other stuff that I'd not really be thinking about right now, but I'm either avoidant or vindictive. I'm not good with the middle ground. Our consensus was that she's Jesus to my Batman. In terms of relationships that never happened.
Congrats on the extra money, Suzi (how did I type Sizu the first time?)! And the vote of confidence.
I love when people capitalise my name, because I hate it. I mean, I wonder if they think I wrote it wrong, and it's the only mis-spelt word or poor grammar in the entire document/email/whatever, or they just don't see it.
My CIO took to writing iTA, but she never said word one about it to me. I do entirely prefer the people who ask "Really? That was deliberate?" because I think that's exactly the reasonable response, especially when they don't press me on why. Of course, just taking me at my (uncapitalised) word drives me delirious with happiness.
