Yeah--work is not usually a good one, unless you work in a building with many workplaces that has a family or handicapped stall on one of the floors. Airports usually have family stalls.
I think actually doing it would be hard--but the point is also to make people think, and notice. You noticed there are not any bathrooms at work that, if you were trans, you could easily use. Or at some of your usual restaurants. etc. That's how hard it can be just to freakin' PEE for people. And there are states where they're making laws against being in the "wrong" restroom.

Our school building is oddly trans friendly, according to district personnel. We have a non-gendered bathroom in the main office and then single person bathrooms on every floor (separate from student bathrooms). The single person bathrooms are gendered but NO ONE adheres to the gender on the door and there are no urinals.

My students were just talking about gender neutral bathrooms. I guess USC is putting some in one of the dorms. Which made me realize that every place I lived in college had gender neutral bathrooms, but then again, I went to Berkeley, not USC.
