The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Yesterday was such a complete and utter waste of a day in terms of everything except sleeping and watching S2 of the Big bang theory that I am determined to make up for it today. So far I have only done a little tidying and made coffee, but as soon as I am done with breakfast I am going to shower and go to TJs and Target and the Hunger Games and Costplus and put together my last book case and unpack those boxes of books

I may even go so far as to say no TV for the day.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

What the fuck is up with that ER, ita? I don't understand why they are getting more resistant with time instead of more understanding. I mean, they have to know you are suffering, right? What is fucking wrong with people?

If you need a ride, let me know. I'm around, and this week is less crazy than last week.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

ita, you're definitely not asking for too much. I'm so sorry that you have to deal with this bullshit every weekend.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I had kind of hoped that kind of racism was on its way out. When we were in Indianapolis for Lego Brickworld a couple of weeks ago, DH was sitting up late on the balcony overlooking the pool at the hotel watching security roust some teenagers. They moved from the pool to their own balconies and two groups of young teens, one boys and one girls, were flirting and joking and yelling back and forth from their balconies to each other when DH heard someone scream from their own room, "WILL YOU N*****S SHUT THE FUCK UP!"

Good reason for us not to move back to Indiana.

brillig

As society shakes the nastiness off, it's the concentrated spots that are left. Their protective coatings are flaking off, revealing the truth, and they're trying to stand there all proud of themselves while they realize that they're becoming nakeder and nakeder and more and more isolated. The internet, which has opened a lot of minds, actually gives them the means to find each other and survive.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

t sigh No, person on my FB page, Robert Frost is not a reasonable suggestion when I say that I'm looking for a poem like x and y, but not written by a White British guy. White dude from New England isn't particularly better.

Beyond which, the poem you suggested is nothing at all like the ones I listed.

Thanks for playing, though.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

flea, I think maybe, spoiler-fonted, in Boxed Set? Because it hasn't actually aired yet.

I haven't seen it yet--saving it for tonight, maybe.

Got to hold my friends' newborn today. I find newborns so fascinating. They live just around the corner, so I've told them to call if they need anything.

Another of their friends did some errand running for them, and he was there too. He's from India and when he gets excited (or bossy, it turns out) he talks faster and his accent thickens. The whole time, he's reminding T to take her meds and stop going up and down the stairs and has she eaten today? Oh & he picked up some soup from that place we like and even tried to tell me how to hold the baby and I just had to give him the Look(everyone laughed at that one, because everyone else knows how I am with babies.) He was even bossing M (her husband) around.

After he left, I turned to T and said "When did Abi turn into an Indian jewish grandmother?" and we both just lost it. They've known each other since undergrad and she says that while he's always been one to pitch in, they've never seen this side of him. So adorably BOSSY.

FYI, the site says the episodes will only be up through the weekend - so don't procrastinate!
