Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Finished reading Hunger Games. My plan for the rest of the day is to get some stuff done this afternoon, and then go to the bookstore to buy the next two books. (Quite a few people have told me to buy them together.) I kind of want to go to the bookstore now, but I know that if I do that, then the "get some stuff done this afternoon" won't happen.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

yeah, get them Friday aft, because you will have a "lost weekend" with those books.

Probably a good idea. I stayed up way too late last night reading. I can get stuff done today, then stop by the bookstore after work tomorrow. (Thursdays are supposedly my "day off," which pretty much means I spend them doing all the stuff I didn't have time to do on other days.)

Oh, it's supposed to be in the seventies this weekend! I can go sit on a bench in the park and read there! (When I was a kid, I loved to read while swinging in a playground swing, but I think I'd get weird looks if I tried that as an adult, especially on the first warm weekend in a while, when the park will be full of kids.)

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

one word of warning: I found myself getting upset by certain events that transpire in the book - particularly the third book, but also parts of the 2nd.

bring supplies in case allergies come.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

K-Bug and I are waiting for CJ to finish the third book so we can all gab about them. Actually, I'm ready for a re-read. Hmmmm, may need to pack another book or two for the weekend.

Speaking of, we are leaving beautiful 70 degree weather and trading it for rainy, 50 degree weather. And apparently those rain storms will follow us back to Colorado to bring us rain/snow.

Between now and 5pm I need to work, finish packing, do my nails, and color my hair. Gonna be a busy day.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Welcome to the club, Hil. Just losing one night to it would put you above average, I think.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I lost at least one work lunch hour crying about the second book. So, you know, stuff.

At art class yesterday, they were talking about Game of Thrones and Luck's cancellation. They didn't really know why it was cancelled "It didn't get renewed?" but I was sitting there in a Doctor Who/Ocean's 11 T-shirt with a Batman sticker on my art box, so I kept my mouth shut, so I didn't seal my deal as "that chick" in week 2.

BUT IT WAS CANCELLED BECAUSE THREE HORSES HAVE DIED DURING PRODUCTION. IT WAS TOTALLY RENEWED FOR SEASON 2, BUT CANCELLED LATER.

Because books.

IT WAS TOTALLY RENEWED FOR SEASON 2, BUT CANCELLED LATER.

Was it? This morning somewhere I heard the ratings were shitty, and that was the first reason for the cancellation.

I can't believe even one horse died. So tragic.
