"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

hilarious. setting aside y'all trying to hug people who don't want to be hugged and the trust exercises, the day would end in fury and tears.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I don't have DST, neener neener.

I also don't have team building exercises, but that's because I don't have a team.

Which reminds me, who is coming over to do my work for me?

I tried to sell 27 books through Powells, but they only wanted two of them for a total of $1.50, which is less than they'll do. Woes.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

So I was practicing my guitar and realized I was switching between chords without having to look down and readjust my fingers on the frets. As soon as I realized it, I messed up.

But it's all coming along nicely.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Yay for progress, Allyson!

One good thing about DST is that it means the cats, who start crying for breakfast as soon as it gets light, got us up at 7 today instead of 6. Would have been even better if I'd been asleep until then, but instead I woke up at 2:30am and tossed and turned the rest of the night.

(Uh, sorry for all the complaining, y'all. I know I've generally had it pretty easy with this pregnancy, but damn, it is really wearing on me by now.)

I am incredibly cranky about DST. It is seriously fucking up my biorhythms.

Oh G-d. my rage and fury about DST. My body clock does NOT agree with this "spring forward" nonsense.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

As soon as I realized it, I messed up.

Yeah, there are several steps in skating I can do with no problem if they are part of a dance, but I always mess up if I try to think about them. Damn us and our brains getting all thinky and self-aware. Oh, and go you on the chord-mastery!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Yay, Allyson! That's real progress, that is!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Yay Allyson! Now if I could just find my motivation to start practicing guitar again...

Yay Allyson! I love hearing about your progress with the guitar.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What a team building vacation with my first US job taught me was: be ruthless picking your team.

I'm good with that.

A huge part of our team leaves April 6th, for reasons kinda beyond his control. I am so mad I almost want to take it out on him. Seriously. HE CAN'T LEAVE. I can't do this without him.

I thought today was Tuesday! Oops. I actually almost made a decision based on that mistake. But, thankfully, I managed to escalate stuff to the lawyers, and finally got myself out of that loop.

Has anyone seen the horror movie May?
