Ah, man. I think my Nook is mad at me for thinking I lost it last week. It won't charge anymore. I can read on my tablet, but it's way less pleasant. The e-ink replacement is cheaper than the 1st gen was, but it doesn't have the same connectivity, as far as I can work out...and it's a different form factor, which means new case, yadda yadda, pretty privileged problems.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
The last book I got for my Kindle never reached my Kindle and I'm trying to troubleshoot it. The problem is, I'm confused as to where to start. It's frustrating.
Oh. Oh. It was an issue with the wireless. Fixed it.
facepalm
I just got a book on those bullshit personality tests people take at work and stuff.
I wanted to know how this all started, what science has to say, and such. Myers Briggs is kind of like a horoscope.
OMG people, no one can die. lalalalalala I cannot here you. imaginary people in the box live forever and that is that.
I plan on flash mobbing anyone's service on here who dares leave. There might be songs from OMWF, there might also be loud reciting from the random quote generator.
msbelle is my favorite. Just so you know.
I have no idea what sort of memorial my Dad would want, and I can't bring myself to ask him right now. Probably one with lots of Jimmy Buffet songs. And "P.O.V. Waltz" from The Point.
I'm planning on being immortal, but if a dumb minion uprising goes wrong or something, I expect "Defying Gravity" to be played.
My mother has it all written down. She wants someone to read Tennyson's Crossing the Bar.
If I had to choose, it would be Huck Finn:
Then she [Miss Watson] told me all about the bad place, and I said I wished I was there. She got mad, then, but I didn’t mean no harm. All I wanted was to go somewheres; all I wanted was a change, I warn’t particular. She said it was wicked to say what I said; said she wouldn’t say it for the whole world; she was going to live so as to go to the good place. Well, I couldn’t see no advantage in going where she was going, so I made up my mind I wouldn’t try for it.
My Nook would connect anywhere over the AT&T cell network, but I guess they don't do that anymore. I'd have to be on a WiFi network, although that includes free access to all the AT&T hotspots. Down from all of America to...places. Not so much important for downloading books, but for keeping track of what page I'm on...vital. Hmmph.
I'm watching What A Girl Wants and it seems to be an egregious combination of plucky pauper shows royalty how it's done, and feisty American loosens up those stuffy Brits. Also, I have no thing for Bynes, but then again, FIRTH. I hope I haven't missed the leather pants yet. That's all I know about the flick.
I got THAT'S DISGUSTING: Unraveling the Mysteries of Repulsion from the library and it's really interesting on a subject that I'd never given much thought to -- why different things repulse different people, how much of it is culturally determined, and how much of it is hardwired.
THAT'S DISGUSTING: Unraveling the Mysteries of Repulsion
Ooh, I'm adding this to my To Read shelf right now.
Brenda! Insent to your gmail address with a question.
I spent today going through my parents' stuff at their old apartment, and then we packed moer stuff into a Focus than I've ever seen before. Then we had cake with the parents before my sister and I headed back to Madison. Now my sister's GF is feeding me steak.
Next, off to Chicago!
