Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Happy birthday, tommyrot!

Man, you all have some great funeral music ideas. Totally taking notes. I've long thought that I'd want "And When I Die" by Laura Nyro and "When I Go" by Dave Carter & Tracy Grammer.

The Nields "I'll Meet You In The Sky"

Ooh, excellent choice. I might have to add that to the list. "I'll Fly Away" would be great too. My funeral is gonna rock! Uh, in 70 or 80 years, I mean.

Tom has just informed me that he would be OK with a second line if the brass bands played Brit pop. Like, "Common People" or "Stupidly Happy" or "Mr. Blue Sky."

I love this idea too!

Beautiful day here in Nashville. I'm having my book club over for brunch in a couple of hours, and then hopefully there will be enough time for a nice long walk before I head off to choir rehearsal. We cleaned the house and did some rearranging of stuff yesterday, and it makes me so happy to look around and see how nice everything looks! Yay for having people over just often enough to force us not to be complete slobs.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay for having people over just often enough to force us not to be complete slobs.

I definitely need to get back to that!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, I'm so sleepy and lazy. But I need to get in the shower to be ready for brunch plans.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Oooh, there's the local flea market to go to. Gives me something to Plan for the day.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Thanks for the b-day wishes! Sadly, my b-day is only 23 hours long....

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Birthday, tommy!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Many happy returns, tommyrot! Declare tommyrot standard time means you get part of tomorrow to celebrate, too? Or what Laura said.

I have brunch plans but I don't know where I am supposed to go or when to get there. Hm, "plans" may be the wrong word.

meara - Mar 11, 2012 5:55:44 am PDT #26207 of 30001

That does sound slightly plan-less, -t!

I had to get up at 6 (which of course felt like 5) to be at the airport. Do not want to be on a plane all day. And tomorrow have to be in lobby at 7:40....so, feeling like getting up at 3am. Ewwww!
