Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

So scoop them out with a spoon and gorge! Mmm.

Sarameg, I love those photos--half of them look so much like photos from my family (I think between the era of clothes, the vintage-camera-coloring, and the fact that our parents are so close in age) It does amuse me how high your dad's pants are belted in many of the childhood photos.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Brownie truffles.

I know, right? I unfortunately had the same problem at that age. Not sure if it was the fashion's fault or our builds (long legs, short torso.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm bringing them for the memorial service tomorrow, so I'd like them to look nice. Put them in the fridge, will try again in the morning.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am not sure why I'm so painfully OCD about my drinking glasses. But the highballs I just bought not so coincidentally look like most of the highballs I already have, just with a thicker base. And they were the only ones in BBaB that fit the bill. All the others made me twitchy.

I would like gooey brownies at my memorial service, FWIW. Should I write that down somewhere?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

ita ! I am out of LA complex.

This makes me sad.

It's probably worth doing, sure.

I really should be a regular church-goer, because I kind of love being a church lady -- singing in the choir AND baking for the reception.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Except not at all.

Where do you come from? Where do you go? What is your scene, baby? We just gotta know.

I just narrowly avoided a double post just now.
