You know how we always warn each other not to read the comments? well, if you can't resist, here's a short-cut - comments to any PETA article. More or less.

It's missing both "Veganism cured my cancer!" and "Those sanctimonious vegans can't tell ME what to eat! It's all part of Michelle Obama's plot to control our lives! Big Brother!"

No Hitler! Hitler! Hitler?
I am disappoint.
In continued recovery news, I have on outside clothes and we are headed over to a friends place. No driving for me though.

So you're saying it's a blank page?
Oh, you're right. "Hitler was vegetarian! Why do you want to be like Hitler?" (Pedantic note: Hitler was not vegetarian.)
And the Isaac Bashevis Singer quote thing is another one of those arguments that really annoys me. The quote, as far as I can remember it, is "To the animals, we are all Nazis. For them, it is an eternal Treblinka." And people will always pull that quote out whenever someone objects to comparing factory farming to the Holocaust, as a "See? Old Jewish guy said it, so it's OK!" thing. But the thing is, that quote is from a short story, from a character in the midst of a mental breakdown. Isaac Bashevis Singer was a vegetarian, and he did write a whole lot of stuff about how we should care about animals, but I've searched and never found him comparing farmed animals to Holocaust victims anywhere other than in that one story.
OMG YOU GUYS I JUST FINISHED THE PROJECT FROM HELL
