Our wings are not tired.

Vonnie, I am SO glad you're safe but that is a terrifying situation! I am so sorry for anyone hurt.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Vonnie, is big-name lecturer still going to show?!

One of our staff is driving him down from VA. Hopefully he'll be able to enter the building. While the complex is in a lockdown, I think you can enter if you have a proper ID.

OK, I'm gonna start walking now. Hopefully to come back in one piece! (Seriously though, it sounds like things are now resolving, but everybody is so confused right now, I don't know what will happen.)

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

What a tragic thing.

SuziQ just updated Facebook saying her surgery went well. So that's good news.

javachik, I just checked TaskRabbit out and it's in Seattle--I've bookmarked it!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Ack, Vonnie. Be safe.

I am overloaded with house and work stuff and it was so great to post "come pick up leftover paint and fluorescent tubes and take to appropriate disposal agency" and have someone DO IT immediately for a bit of cash. Now I am sitting here thinking of more Taskrabbity things. Maybe Hec could sign up with the service - it seems an easy way to make cash doing jobs you pick up as you wish. I plan to use it a lot.

HMOG. I am having my couch issue taken care of right now.

brenda, you've used it before, right? I either learned about TR here or on Twitter.

meara, you will love it!

I love that I put in a max amount that I'd be willing to spend for the task to be done, but that amount isn't shown to bidders. I put in a max of $60 for the paints task and someone did it for $25. The whole process is SO easy. And the taskrabbits are screened, etc, so I feel fine and safe using it. Certainly a lot safer than using Craiglist.
