I found red lipstick (one that I had forgotten how much I liked until I put it on) while I was looking for a lint roller, so I am doing that Internat'l Women's Day thing, now with added Fuck Slut Shaming undertones. And I am leaving the house! Probably no one at the grocery store will care, but I know I"m making a statement...

This is my last day at my desk so I am furiously cleaning. After this I am officially virtual. It's a work from home free-for-all! For me anyway.
In practice, I'll still probably be in at least two and often three days a week. But it's all up to me me me!
Though it does mean I have to find a home for the two file cabinets full of shoes I keep at the office. So I guess everything has a downside.
Sometimes I forget that not all corners of the internet are connected through fandom, and that there are vast numbers of people online who never went through RaceFail or any of the subsequent discussions about diversity in genre media.
Which is a very long-winded way of saying, I just had to point out to someone on Goodreads that "shemale" is a derogatory term. Oy.

Hivemind - my landlady travels for work, and will be gone for several months. She will not have a local branch of her bank near her, nor a credit union service center. What options are there for me to pay me that don't involve a paper check? Paypal involves fees after a certain level of payments, yes?
Thanks!
I am wearing a red t-shirt and bandanna in my hair, coincidentally.
Can you (or do you want to) set up an autopay?
brenda, that's super exciting! Along with the promotion, more working from home? That's awesome.
smonster, if you two are at the same bank it should be easy to transfer money to her. Not sure how easy it is at different banks, though it should still be possible it might involve fees.
I do not want to set up autopay right now, given that I am unemployed. And we are not at the same credit union. I tried to set up e-pay through my bank, and it requires a 3rd party website (FIS global) which seems annoying, overly complicated, and slightly risky.
I may have just been on the internet too long, but when I read "criminal mischief with cheese" my mind went to much weirder places than just smearing around the loo while drunk.
I don't mean to sound rude, but it's really up to your landlady to figure out how to get her money accessible to her - not you. I believe the fact that SHE is traveling and not near her banks? Not your problem. You should be able to send a check, or pay as you always have, and let her figure out the rest.
