I've been monitoring my blood pressure with a wrist cuff unit. The doc I go to says three readings of 140/90 in a row is when they start considering BP meds. I have serious white coat effect and every time I went it would be over that. Monitoring my BP every morning when I get up, it's rarely over 120/75. But I also don't drink any caffeine anymore and watch my sodium intake very carefully. Caffeine alone will push me right over 140/90, so I indulge only sparingly.

Kat,
you'll find something soon.
In serious and depressing news, I think I'm going to be pink slipped this year. I have over 10 years with the district, but they are pink slipping 11,000 people. I'm sure I'm in that list.
I am terrified that the "New Orleans model" of public education (close down all public schools and dismantle teachers/employees with tenure and/or union protection and then put an all-charter system that is accountable to no one and staffs teacher position with Teach For America kids and has an all-"incentive" pay scheme) is becoming something to be aspired to.
Pink slipping 11K employees in an already overburdened educational system seems like a big step in that direction.
Republican state governments love the "New Orleans model"- it's basically outsourcing subpar education to all at the mercy of it (i.e., can't afford private school). DO NOT BE SEDUCED BY THE CHARTER SYSTEM!
Seriously, though.
Kat, looks like not a ton is hiring right now, except some stuff for the rest of this school year...
Amy, I think it is $1250/mo.
CJ was looking for a book yesterday so I pulled American Gods off the shelf. I forgot that it gets pretty explicit. Ooops?
Panicky x-post with Bitches
Paging Steph - I'm an idiot and tired and don't know how this happened, but I sprayed some of my allergy meds into my eye. I flushed it out with cool water for a while and all the literature is very helpful as to how one should (usually in bold) avoid at all costs spraying it into one's eye. But no details on what happens next? aside from the obvious damage to my ego. DH doesn't seem to be worried, but that's just because - well, DH is never worried. Which worries me. See where I'm going with this? Hopefully not blind.
Sincerely, dumbass mcgee
eta - and I was doing moderately well with the impersonating of a human thing.
Kat- I hope you don't get pink slipped. that's idiocy.
Kat, I really hope things turn out ok.
My brother is Ambien messaging me on FB. I keep telling him to GO TO BED. I hope he finally did, I turned my messaging off. His spellings gets worse and worse and he gets less coherent and now tomorrow I will get a morning call to laugh about what he doesn't remember posting.

Oh, fiery blow job, Gaiman, what is your deal.
Eh, CJ's ready to read about blow jobs en fuego. Or skip past them as he prefers.
