mac's team won both soccer games this weekend and I did 2 hours of yardwork and had a brief visit with a friend. We meet with mac's psychiatrist this afternoon. He had me double the prozac for the last 4 days, but I see very little difference (and is 4 days even enough to show difference?).
I am glad the weekend is over, work is more relaxing.
is 4 days even enough to show difference?
Not really. Maybe next week.
Hope everyone's ok in SF/Berkley. Good luck at Mac's dr., msbelle.
So February was a pretty crappy month, mostly with a lot of change for people very close to me (my 2nd mother is moving far away, HPF's godfather's dealing with a bunch of stuff), a bunch of stuff way up in the air, and some emotional things that make me want to go full turtle and hide. HPF spending 5 weeks telling me how horrible and mean I am helps a ton (yay, 7-going-on-13). March is starting to seem like more of the same. It feels like I'm in the middle of some pretty tectonic (sorry CA) changes and I'm gritting my teeth and hoping things will get better not worse - soonish. I've been quiet on the board because conflict, even about books I love, sends me further into the awful. If anyone has any better~ma and/or anti-brain-weasel-spray to spare, I hope you don't mind my asking. Thanks.
I'm sorry, Sox. I sincerely hope you see a turn around for the better soon.
Not so work friendly, but pretty darn funny editorial cartoon in my inbox this morning - [link]
~ma to Sox.
I live in blizzard country, and it doesn't really seem to take that much preparation. The once every 10 or so year ice storms are much worse-- they really do a number on power lines and trees.
In general I am happy with this natural disaster areas, as we are far enough inland that we don't get too badly hit by hurricanes. But then we had TWO EARTHQUAKES!!!! I live in blizzard country precisely so the earth does not move under my feet!
Adam Baldwin on Castle!!!!
~ma for Sox.
You know, this sounds like quid pro quo or something.
Yipes! It's scary waking up to an earthquake, very disorienting. I hope all our Bay Areaistas are OK.
Alec Baldwin was on Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me this weekend. And the panelists made some Harry Potter slashfic jokes.
Holy fuck, that was a big one.
I didn't even feel the earthquake, myself, which is weird, because I usually wake up around then anyway. Quakes are weird.
I saw Sparky and her DH and her little girl last night! C was quite the source of entertainment, and exceedingly cute. And I got to see Lee's new house, which is also very nice! And I shared a somewhat-successful Shaker lemon pie. (Next time I bake it longer, I think, and maybe more sugar to cut the lemon.)
I only have two days in the office this week and I'm crazy busy and I just realized I forgot to invite one of the engineers to a 9:30 teleconference. Woops!
