Shit. shit. Shit. I just found out all the groups I was going to join for insurance now have a minimum number of employee rule. (They did not used to.) So my current insurance plant terminates July 1. No individual plan will take me because of my high risk. I'm looking, but at the moment can't find any group plans I'm eligible for. There is a high risk pool, which charges 1,200 per month has a 2,000 deductible and does not cover a bunch of stuff. No way I can do 1,200 a month for insurance. Not a question of tough. Cannot do it period. I guess I need to see if my income is low enough for medicaid.

Today I have washed/folded/put away two loads of laundry plus a load of diapers. And vacuumed upstairs and downstairs. Took out the trash and loaded and unloaded the dishwasher. Now Sammy and I are off to grocery shop and pick up some pictures. I am tired.
But I also got to meet Suzi and Kelly yesterday, which was fun. Frisco was very impressed that they had the Incredibles. And I *finally* got the nail polish box out of here.
Don't qualify for medicaid. Basic Health for people who don't qualify for medicaid is full - multi=year waiting list. There is something called Washington Health Plan which is Spartan, but at least offers some coverage which it look like I may qualify for - premium $300 per month which is reasonable. 30% copay for everything. Filling out form to see if I qualify.
Good luck, Gar. I hate that getting health coverage is so hard.
My co-op maintenance includes everything—heat, hot water, gas, electricity, taxes. My COBRA costs more than all of that.
Gosh I wish someone would come along and stomp all over our god-given freedom to market-driven medical care.
It looks like I have to fill out a questioaire for this -which means I'm subject to being turned down for pre-existing conditions. Forget hard. At the moment it looks like I won't be able to get medical insurance.
Yeah, that sucks, Gar.
I took my awesome reusable bag that folds up into a little packet to Trader Joes (Trader Joes!) today. I loves it, but the snap is breaking off. My best bags are all soft canvas bags that were from the early transition before they started doing cheapo ones.
Anyway! I am in the casita! It is super cute. The house itself is a little larger than I was picturing and the parking is a little smaller than I was picturing. I'm glad to have the gated parking, but it is a tight squeeze off an alley to get into it. We worked out a different way of driving to the cabin that helps.
We grocered and brought bags in and are now chilling. Vacay!
For fuck's sake Typo, that's so impossible! Arrgh!
Something needs to change.
It will change, Typo just can't get sick until Jan 1, 2014.
