Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

have you all see the deer woman blog?

People are...endlessly fascinating.

there is no estimate as to when power will return, so I don't know WTF we are going to do. We are homebodies! You drove us from our home!

Oh dear! (deer.) The movies sounds like an excellent call, as does the office. Any place with heat!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Oh, believe me, I don't want to live in blizzard country either. But if my house were hit by a tornado twice in two years, I'd be seriously considering moving somewhere with the kind of natural disasters I could hunker down and survive with my possessions intact.

At this point I mention that my home city has low humidity, no snow or even frost in winter, no tornadoes, no earthquakes and no hurricanes. And no funnelwebs (suck it, Sydney!). You can have bushfires around some of the outskirts, and we get the occasional thunderstorm.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So that whole "most venomous animals in the world" thing doesn't apply?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

At this point I mention that my home city has low humidity, no snow or even frost in winter, no tornadoes, no earthquakes and no hurricanes.

Duststorms?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Mustnotclickonitaslinks. Mustnotclickonitaslinks. Mustnotclickonitaslinks.

That was le nubian, not ita !. But, it's true, you probably shouldn't click it.

So this guy was struck by lightning. It left a weird pattern on his skin. It's actually kind of pretty: [link]

Whoa! That one you should click.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

that scar is the coolest. poor thing tho. I bet it was no fun getting that scar.

I'm back at the homestead and we have power now. My TiVo was not fried (nor were the other electronics). I was kind of hoping the TV would bite it because it is on a slow descent to bzzting out.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good news/bad news, le nubian?

So this guy was struck by lightning. It left a weird pattern on his skin. It's actually kind of pretty:

Yeah, that's gorgeous.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Someone remind me doggie reward/punishment memories aren't that long and he's not going to associate being kenneled with being scolded.

Dogs have strange little brains. He may associate being kenneled with corn muffins.

We have tornadoes, earthquakes, flash floods, and the occasional brushfire here.

You're on the New Madrid fault. I vote tornado.

Yay, power!
