No. And yes. It's always sudden.

brillig

If I had to choose, I'd choose to live where there are hurricanes. Powerful, but slow-moving and you have time to get out of the way.

Tornados are skittish things that may or may not show up.

Or possibly go to the moon, where there's no atmosphere to get its panties in a twist.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I got to visit with Stephanie and 2/3rds of her sprog. I even got to hold the baby - completely adorable.

Whooooo!

Does that mean you have the polish box too?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I got to visit with Stephanie and 2/3rds of her sprog. I even got to hold the baby - completely adorable.

I get to visit with Kate P. and her hubby, and the family flea later! The comic store with Kate and hubby, and dinner with everyone, undoubtedly followed by Graeter's.

Punishingly Intricate

"the Hilary Clinton of Ghostface Killahs."

!!!

Oh man, I just heard that a couple whose wedding we went to last fall have broken up. I don't know any of the details but SO SAD. Their wedding was one of the most heartfelt and beautiful ones I've ever been to.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am totally have contradictory responses to that Amber Tamblyn thing. I think it's a way creepy use of your time, but Tyrese sounds like a douche, and I'm completely down with him getting mocked soundly, especially since he plucked an email address off a cc and reached to someone unsolicited to do business with them. Seriously.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh god, that is sad, lisah. Ugh.

The member of the couple who I'm friends with hasn't said anything to me about it and I'm not sure if I should bring it up or not.

Because books.

Oh, that is sad. That happened to a friend of mine, although I could have told her on her wedding day she shouldn't have been marrying the guy (for his sake, not hers). Eighteen months later, they were separated.

Amy gets to see baby bump.

Whose? Where?

The kids next door gave Sara this robot bank from Sharper Image, and I can't figure out how to turn the thing off. I'm in her room sorting through books to donate and generally clean out junk, and the thing keeps beeping and flashing and ASKING ME HOW I AM and I just yelled, "I hate you, that's how!" I feel like Phoebe with the smoke alarm.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Dag, the Pete and Pete Reunion sounds like it was awesome.
