You're talking to Serenity. And, Early... Serenity is very unhappy.

Yep, one of our plants closed, but I don't know them well enough yet to know which location is what.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yikes Steph! Glad you got out light.

And yay for office buds, msbelle. Although word of warning: sometimes office buds want things from you. I am staying late on a Friday because one of my office buds roped me into his PD committee.

Then again, last week I roped another one of my buds to serve on the publication committee for a new Uni publication, so there you are.

Brentwood, I am guessing KY. Off to look.

Because books.

Oh, I forgot to say that: the guy who signed himself "Fred" sounds adorable, too. I like fun work friends.

God, I want to nap. That's probably ill-advised at this hour, though.

thing is, I can never stay late, I have ZERO flexibility with day to day arrival and departure time. I can only do that if it is planned ahead.

Speaking of mac, got a call from the afterschool. Today he chased kids, threw rocks (hitting one child in the face), and kicked another. He is very close to being kicked out. I just don't even know. Today I started him on a double dosage of the anti-anxiety per the psychiatrist instructions given the last week of behavior, but that will take at least a week to get into his system fully.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Birthday PiBaby!

We're hosting the monthly Open Sing tonight. We have no idea how many people will show up. (Topic is "Feet don't fail me now"- which can be interpreted a number of ways)

Oh, mac. Give your mom a break, huh?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am totally against work buds. But why do I have so many, and why are they so damned fun?

MAC! ::insert stern talking to and effective brain chemistry here::

I really wish I could help you in any, some, way msbelle. Except to offer you sympathy and virtual mani pedis.

Speaking of which, my mother's emotional health is being monitored by her vanity, and she has expressed interest in a mani pedi, so my sister has sent up a cheer. This is good. Her reasserting her normal indulgences is good.

I introduced my sister to the analogy of the spoons today. It is sad whenever I feel I have to do that to someone, because it means it applies somewhere, to something. Ah, well. It will be helpful shorthand. Not sharing wouldn't make the restrictions go away.

Tomorrow, I hope to have enough spoons to sign up for art class. I don't want to sign up for the Saturday class, but the Monday evening one, because I'm more likely to be able to do that, but if I sign up for Monday, I can still take Saturday, so I might as well do so early.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

In other unfun news: I'm taking Darby in to the vet tomorrow, but I'm fairly certain it's more of a bonny problem than a vet problem.

Darby's food issues are just out of control. She has barely eaten in four or five days. She simply will not eat her food. She did a similar thing when she stayed at my sister's last month but I figured it was more environmental than anything - she's never been a big eater in an unfamiliar or uncomfortable place. And she ate normally when she got back.

But this is just driving me crazy, and I can't figure out what the problem is. She has refused everything. Her bowl is currently overflowing with a mixture of chow and treats: no go. I gave her an egg: no go. I gave her a bowl of scrambled eggs, then one of scrambled mixed with sausage: no go.

But. She still wants treats if you hand them to her - gobbles them and waits for more. I had some tortillas and she was a begging jumping fool when I started giving her bits. She finally ate the eggs when I broke down and fed them to her on a fork. And then the leftovers in the bowl sat there all night untouched. I left some corned beef in her bowl the other night and it sat there, but did disappear overnight. That's something, except I don't know that I can rule out the cat.

So I really don't think it's a physical issue. There's something going on in her little noggin that's stopping her and I really don't know what to do.

Because books.

Will she eat from the bowl if you stay with her while she does?
