I think that's the most obvious one I've felt since moving here. And my new office is supposedly on more solid ground than the other.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

We've got some sirens going, but that's it. No alarms or anything otherwise.
What is really odd is that this morning was the Great California ShakeOut earthquake drill, wasn't it?
Pretty sure the carrier was just thrown over the fence, busted open, and she went to hide in the bushes, crying at anyone who passed by.
There is an especially horrible place in hell for people who do that.
I CANNOT HAVE 4 CATS
Yeah, that's what we said, too.
I wish I lived closer. To the kitten, not the earthquake. A girl cat sounds nice.

Yup. How convenient!
Man, you guys go in for realism in your drills, huh?
When we lived out in the country, we had a dozen or more animals show up in our yard that people just dumped. We ended up keeping a dog and two cats and finding homes for the rest.
I think there's at least a place in purgatory for people who run pressure washers practically under my office window all day long. It's my normally san(ish) neighbor. I assume he's rented it for a day and is trying to get his money's worth. It's gotten on my last nerve.
Stay safe, California!
I wish I could take a kitty, because I totally would. We rescued one in Balto. that went to a good home in a couple of days, but if there hadn't already been two cats and a dog, I'd have kept her for my own. I called her Cativan, because she was as soothing as the drug.
