Giles, if you would like to get by in American society, then you are going to have to follow our traditions. You're the patriarch. You have to host the festivities, or it's all meaningless.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

YAY, Lee! The pic on FB that I saw was adorable.

My dinner was a fuckload of red wine (until I cut myself off for gut preservation, it hates tannins) and raw green beans and spinach kale dip and cheese. And guac and chips. Gut, bedamned. Maybe tomorrow I won't wake up with indigestion. Hopefully laughing until you cry helps that? My friends-who-are-also-neighbors are wunnerful. Now I just need to finish keying down.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hey, font people, have you seen this: [link]

That's good.

Okay, out with it, peeps.

What font do you have on your resume?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I love "font people" as a phrase. The next time I'm at a remotely design-related conference, I'm finding a way to work "would the font people please leave the lobby" into conversation. Even though it will mean nothing to anyone but me.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

What font do you have on your resume?

I use Calibri. It's also now my default setting for Word and Excel.

Our wings are not tired.

Mine is either Helvetica or Verdana. Can't remember.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Who's gonna represent for the serifs?

brillig

I like Times New Roman. I've set it as the default font for this very website in my settings.

Serif-less fonts make me weep.

edit: You're welcome, Hec.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Incidentally, comic book God, Will Eisner created a character named Sand Saref. (She's the sexy woman, not the guy.)
