Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

You sure she wasn't raised by raccoons?

Given her looks...

Funny thing, Devi used to drown her toys in the waterdish. Still does, sometimes, but I think Loki intervenes before it gets to drowning time.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I forgot to do anything productive this weekend.

Oops.

At least I spent a lot of money.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I have been looking all afternoon for one of my W-2. Wrangled 4 piles of papers, tossed a bunch of stuff, made 4 new files and sorted more stuff. Just found it, not at all where I thought it was. At least I can start on the taxes now.

I have almost cleared off my shows on the TiVO. Mac has too much stuff just sitting on here, I am going to dump some of it.

I moved the washer the other day in my cleaning frenzy and apparently unseated the drain hose. Guess who has a flooded laundry room.

The kids went out to dinner with KCD, so I bought myself a capresi risotto from the deli counter and a lamb chop. It smells so good in my house right now.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I love this article where Nick Denton is deliberately irritating, and Susan Morrison is plain clueless.

So we stopped by Sephora after the move yesterday, and I picked up the magnetic nailpolish. Now, let's see if I can actually apply it without going nuclear.

They have it at Sephora? Uh-oh. I didn't need to know that.

I have not been able to get consistent results yet. It's a lot stripier on my second (right) hand than the first. But I'm not redoing it. First nail polish in about a year, and I'll just have to cope somehow.

Next time, maybe a salon? I hate doing my own nails. Also, I'm wondering about a stronger magnet.
