Get up...get up, you stupid piece of... What did you do that for? What's wrong with you? Didn't you hear a word he said? All of you! You think there's someone just going to drop money on you?! Money they could use?! Well, there ain't people like that. There's just people like me.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

So, the women's group at my company (one of those networking/charity thingys) is revamping and rebranding. The new name they've come up with: [Company] Professional Women's Network.

It appears somebody is not aware of all internet traditions.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

ION, I just saw this link to a Jason Wu dress that's apparently not searchable on the site (or something) until Wednesday. So... get it while it's hot? [link]

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Editing hilarity: So many folks here confuse roll and role.

"He played a key roll in the successful launch of x."

And I just picture an engineer on a dinner plate, with melting butter.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

That's the one. The acronym is already in full use.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Oh, Emily Nussbaum, such a Buffista--she gets to review Smash for The New Yorker.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I need more productivity apps.

Work fun. One of my project managers just put out a message to some of her subcontractors asking them to cc me on any communication. I immediately got a response from one of them and it was a blast from the past. I worked with the gal 10-15 years ago and she was a mentor of mine. When she left our company I lost track of her. I'm kinda giddy to be back in touch.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I want a conversation pit! Of course, I've never actually sat in a conversation pit--perhaps it's not as awesome as I've dreamed?

Also, that bathroom looks like it escaped from the set of 2001 before they had a chance to finish it.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

That's . . . . well.

Unnecessary? Inappropriate? Disgusting? Yes. Sorry. I apologize for my brain.
