Cordelia: I get it now. You're all spies. Probably all Russian. And you've brainwashed me, and want me to believe we're friends so I'll spill the beans about some nano-technology thingy that you want. Gunn: So I look Russian to you? Cordelia: Black Russian. Angel: That's a drink.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Tomorrow is our last Farmer's Market of the season. I should call my friend and see if she wants to go and then get brunch or something. My big decision is if I should try to get canning tomatoes or not. It was a big process, and we went through a couple of cans of sauce already. I don't know if it was worth it. I think maybe I should spend my money on stuff that will keep, squash and whatnot.

My home to do list makes me want to cry, but I don't even care

I might get a few produce items, but I think I'm going to be shopping at the cheese and jarred stuff vendors in particular.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Yay vacation!

I, on the other hand, will be dogsitting. Maybe this time the St. B will behave himself and not spend all his waking hours whining.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I am going to start a three-day weekend in just a few hours!! Tonight, some friends for dinner (which my husband is cooking even as I speak, so basically all I have to do is show up and look pretty). Tomorrow, skating, work (okay, so it's only SORT OF a three-day weekend) then our annual neighborhood block party. Sunday noon, pick up a friend from NYC who is in town to take pix of the Clinton Gala at the Hollywood Bowl. She's never seen LA, so we are touring her around Sunday and all day Monday, before she gets on the Red Eye back home. Can't wait!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Jilli,

will we get to see a picture? My imagination is not what it used to be.
