I don't like vampires. I'm gonna take a stand and say they're not good.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I have a doppelnamer who lives in the Bay Area and was a high ranking exec for Chevron. There was another one who died at Andersonville. And another one who is a fighter pilot who flew in Iraq.

(All people of my last name are related, incidentally. We all descend from one guy who had his name mangled from the German when he came to America in the early 1700s.)

However, I am most of the first page of hits when I Googlebate.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oh, that sucks, David.

It does, but I'll head over to the Farmer's Market and get some of those really good tomatoes (dry farmed Early Girls) and an empanada for Emmett and life will be just that much better.

There are many of me. One was 1 year behind me in middle school.

Got my swimming mojo back after a rough week. Got an estimate on when the downspout will be replace (answer: not for a couple weeks.) Did not make vet appts, which I need to do. WIll have hole in ceiling while parents visit. I might cover it temporarily with paper. I hate looking at it.

My parents arrive in a week. I need to do So Much Putting Away.

But tonight was a good swim, I'm not super cranky, I have an interesting problem to sort out tomorrow at work (it's the sort of thing I enjoy,) and the only unavoidable chore left for the night is to take out the recycling. Which I will do after I finish eating.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Most of my doppelnamers are in the arts or education. Most of the top hits for my name are for a choreographer from Texas, but my website and my LinkedIn are within the first couple pages on Google. And I'm glad to see that my FB does not seem to rank very high.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I used to not exist at all online, under my actual name. But then I showed up in photos when I performed at a festival. Then everything after that was work related and still is.

Although I tried to find those old festival photos, and they didn't pop up, so I searched my name and Wichita, and got really scared because it showed a picture of my apartment. Well, close to my apartment. But it turned out to be some innocent Oregon grandmother's blog.

She'll wonder where all the hits are coming from, but they're some great pictures of my stomping grounds, including the brewery where all my big corporate money went.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The name doppelganger I know the most about has won or placed in several middle and high school swim meets.

But mostly my vanity searches turn up a lot of German porn.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I am never going to get this book proposal done by the end of the weekend. My stomach has decided to react to this terror by trying to flee from my body.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Last I remember, my name doppleganger worked at a funeral home.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I have many, many, many last name dopplegangers. the one with my name as a URL runs a bath accessory business.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I have so many name dopplegangers, using Susan or Suzi. The worst was years ago when my dentist had another patient with the same name as me - but she only had like 3 teeth in her head. The second time they came in to see me with her file, I found a new dentist.
