How did your brain even learn human speech? I'm just so curious.

You have to remember that being a 5-time Olympic medalist means Hilary Knight has been playing hockey at an elite level at least 16 years. It's impossible for her to be a teenage girl less than 16 years old, thus the President's complete lack of interest.

I don't know where all the recent productivity came from, but I met two overlapping deadlines yesterday, got praised by the client for doing great work, have all my Christmas stuff taken care of except for actually delivering the presents/cards, and my house is cleaner and neater than it has been in ages.

Where do you come from? Where do you go? What is your scene, baby? We just gotta know.

You obviously have all of my productivity, Matt.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Go, Matt!

My personal stuff is on track, but I will be damned if I can do anything here at work. Partly I'm waiting for other people, but I really could be starting new things in the meantime! Oh well. At least I'm not coming in tomorrow. And next week is National Filing Week, isn't it?

not your mom's socks.

DH is cleaning out the basement. Over the weekend, he read a couple hundred pages of something I wrote. I find both totally sexy AND awesome holiday presents. Signed, old and decrepit.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My sister keeps calling me, giving me the play-by-play of her and my niece's search for a last-minute Christmas tree. She's funny. She just called me again, singing "Oh Christmas Bush, oh Christmas bush..." I told her it's all good, small ones are easier to get through the door.

I have already seen Christmas trees out on the curb! WTF.

I'm taking ours down tomorrow because I don't want to come home to dried up tree.

You think they're going to bring the tree with them to the Cape?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

And...I don't know where my passport is. Great. I'll be heads down for a while.
