Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

and usually can go through a shorter security line.

Hate. You.

In the way that means I really envy you. I love going through a shorter line. I honestly believe that there should be lines based on how well/often you travel - pro, have kids (but know what you are doing, kinda) and hasn't flown in years. They'd be cosseted and I wouldn't feel like a bitch for internally loathing them for not having their bags ready to throw on the conveyor, shoes off and liquids out with no coats or metal on them.

I've lived much more dangerously leaving PDX than San Diego. The staff is just way better and I can get through security faster. I live, when traveling, in a constant state of juggling the limited hours I can put the cat in the cattery, traffic and the airport. Coming back it's a state of getting luggage, traffic and when I can get the cat out of the cattery.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

There are/were lines like that, but everyone seems to think they belong in the experienced traveler lines.

I plan for an hour before flight time more or less (usually less). But I'm traveling alone, so.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I get there ridic early, always. But that's how I am. Plus, I made a volunteer miss her flight at the tiny Flagstaff airport because I forgot the front checkin person would also be the gate checkin pesron and therefore there was no one on our side of security when we dawdled in.

They are wrong, Wrong, WRONG! I honestly want them to feel okay and not rushed but I want them to do it in a different line. I will volunteer twenty minutes to cosset them. I just want to get through security without standing behind someone who doesn't have it internalized.

ONE TIME I got waved into a fast line in Florida and I had my shoes off, laptop out, liquids out and it was bliss. Well, for all values of having to deal with security that is more for show than real security.

But that is a cute little airport! An ex used to fly from there to my town. I got good at knowing when snow was going to mess up my plans to have sex and snuggles.

Oh it's a great little airport! Just, you know, little. Not as little as Show Low, but still.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

“We underestimated the appeal of the single web site and a single service,” Steve Swasey, a Netflix spokesman, said in a telephone interview. He quickly added: “We greatly underestimated it.”

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I just got an email from Netflix: Quickster isn't happening - they're NOT splitting the website.

This made me laugh.
