Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Friends that bring you only stress, better off without. Still sucks, though.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Damn, Nora, that bites. Sounds like you might be better off, but that doesn't stop the hurting. Or, what Zen said.

Had a great day today. StW and I went to brunch at the local clothes-optional predominantly queer country club (I am not making this up). Had to sit out back by the pool, which means we saw a lot of extra bacon and eggs (ba-dum-BUM). Then we drove out of town to a nature preserve and walked about three miles of trails. Back to his for sushi and the first Spiderman movie.

Now I'm back home and need to go to bed! Damn 6:30 am call time. Was not a very productive weekend, oh well. But I chatted with a former colleague who's moved on to making props and asked him to keep me in mind if he hears of a similar opportunity. Long days but lots of overtime and pays better than what I was doing and damn sure better than being an extra.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I can back this up. Country Club in the Bywater, yes?

Totes. He was rueing that he can't be a member anymore. Too much chance of running into residents and interns, with resulting awkwardness and unseemliness.

Damn, I am moving to New Orleans.

Heh. I too can confirm--I have twice been both naked and ...actively queer there. Good times!

And the food is good, too! We had crab cakes with home fries and shrimp and grits with andouille sausage.

Man, I'm starting to think that the costume director for Treme does not live here in the winter. They keep saying NO SHORTS, nothing too summery. Bitch, I was in shorts and a tank top on New Year's Eve day. It's going to be 85 and sunny tomorrow, we're going to be shooting all day long, and you want everyone in jeans and light jackets? OMG. t endrant

...okay FINE. I just looked it up and it was 55 on the day in question. Humph.

We had a pretty mild winter here this year, do I hear. (They're all mild to me.)

Took one of Tom's ativans so I can sleep without obsessing about what a horrible person and friend I am.

Our wings are not tired.

Oh Nora, please don't obsess. I have never met you in person but I happen to think you're a fantastic friend and person. Don't let the Kraxy Manipulatives get you down, sweetie.

Thanks, javachik- and I'm pretty good at beating back other people's crazy with my logical mind, but in the dark, when all my thoughts swirl around and there's nowhere to escape... that's when the trouble starts. The ativan is quite good at slowing that all down so my brain can catch up/escape it, so that's good.

Hmm, metaphor's a little tortured there, but you know what I mean?
