Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Hitting "Get Mail" over and over will make the mail from the HR guy show up faster, right?

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

No, Laura and Beverly, I have not gotten an earlier appointment. The person who seemed to really try to help did call back today to say she'd had no luck.

About two weeks ago, one of the doctors said she'd schedule another blood test to keep track of the anemia, but never said when she was putting the order in for. The nice gastroenterology person also looked that up for me, and it's in there, so I'll get one tomorrow. Maybe the results will offer a clue.

In the meantime, my arm with lymphedema suddenly broke out with red blotches that look suspiciously like the infection one is supposed to be on the lookout for. If it's no better first thing, I guess I'd better take it to a doctor tomorrow.

I would like to be frozen and thawed when they have a cure for everything, please.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I heard back from Stephanie. I asked if she wanted me to pass along a message and she said yes. "I'm emotionally exhausted (we were in court from 8am to 6pm) and physically tired from not sleeping. But things turned out okay. Not great but okay. Please let them all know that and thanks for the support."

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Thank you, Suzi.

It's 5:15 pm, I've been here since 1:30, and all I'm doing is sitting in my car. I'm going to be filmed in a traffic jam, but for now just waiting, waiting. Hey, I'm getting paid to read, right? Left Frankie outside with food and water - he can get into the shed, which is nice and cool - and left food down for the cats. Ah, the life of an extra.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Ack, Ginger. I hope it's not an infection.

Almost never, actually.

Though apparently leaving a massage with a squished, no makeup face will result in my stepmom driving through Portland but having no time to see me. But her forgetting a car charger for her phone let me convince her to pull over, wait two minutes for me to find her and give her mine.

She's helping friends move their elderly mom to California from Tacoma and she's driving a UHaul through Oregon in a storm. I'd like her phone to be charged. My dad REALLY would like her phone to be charged. So I saw her for five minutes in a parking lot.

Technically, she's now seen me in Portland. With no makeup. But the timing was just too weird not to give it a shot. But thank god she didn't want to see my place. It's a mess.

I knew she was making the trip sometime this Spring but I had no idea when I woke up that I'd see her today. Huh.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm sorry to hear I am in such good company with the allergy misery. I was just very whiny at TCG for no good reason just because I am exhausted As a result he is making dinner.

Art Crawl!!!

Must be the weird weather we're having.

Although, I have to say I am enjoying it. Just came in from sitting out on the stoop and reading.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Wall rack is up. Had a brief panic moment, as the door wasn't deep enough to accomadate the little mixer. Thankfully there are little adjustments to slide the rack rails back a smidge so the door could close. Now, the room wiring needs to be fixed to wire that bad boy into the house system. Woot. (I realize, there is only one or two people who will understand half of that, but eh).

Aaaauuugh. I even went and cleaned and organized the library table! Thus finding some notecards and some fabric that had vanished, so yay.

I am also very tired of the changeable weather and the havoc it is playing with my sinuses.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Woo, I am cross my fingers for Jilli and askye...and um, that first temp agency was stupid. So there! Hrmph.

Thanks, smonster. Just tryin' to let it slide...

I made it to yoga and took the dog for a walk today. The weather is CRAZY. EVERYTHING is in bloom; yesterday it was 84 and today in the upper 70's. And it snowed lightly like, 2, 3 times this winter. It's beautiful, but weird.

Oops, timer! Dinner!
