Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Oh, Laura, how horrible. I hope you find a way out of this financial hell very soon!

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Went back and read your post carefully, Laura. That is... mind-boggling. I absolutely don't get it. Evil, evil, evil.

I have rescheduled for next Wednesday. I feel less panicky now.

Our wings are not tired.

DH barely kept it together without crying in the mediation. It is just so frustrating to realize that they just want the house. Either we get a modification or we sell it and just pay them whatever they claim we owe. At his point the balance they claim is about 80 thousand more than the last statement they gave us years ago, with no explanation of why. The 'investors' examine the numbers and make the determination that they can sell it for more than we owe, so that is what they want.

The worst part is the feelings of pure hatred they bring out in me. Their lawyer (after he was sure the bank person was off the line) said he could not imagine a judge letting the foreclosure go through when the owner has been able to make payments for years and was not allowed, but I don't really want to take my chances before the judge. The lawyer for the bank tried several times with us out of the room to reason with the bank rep without success. They just want my house.

not your mom's socks.

Hell, Laura. I'm so sorry.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Oh, Laura, that's utterly fucking crazy-making. And it sounds like their own damn lawyer is on your side, he's just stuck with evil clients. What utter colossal bullshit.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh Laura, how awful and how evil! I'm so angry on your behalf!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

In the current market, that's not only evil but bizarre. Surely the bank already owns many other houses. I assume you've reported them to the regulators.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Laura, I can only assume someone went to their crazy place, and it's not you. That's horrible. Cruel. How can people be behind that, you know? Jesus.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Good lord, Laura, that's awful. I'm so sorry you're dealing with such horrible, mean-spirited bullshit.
