Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Hmmmm, when is your spring break? Shouldn't it be soon?

It just ended. Today is the first day back.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Nora witnessed many key elements of a Lucero show, including emotional bonding with other super fans, the tall drunk swaying dude right in front (okay, that happens at any show), boys having all the feels while shouting along to the lyrics, Ben nearly losing his voice and taking shots of whiskey to get it back... It was a solid first Lucero experience. Next step is to burn her a cd, so that she too can have all the feels and shout along.

I may be just slightly hungover, and I'm for sure tired as hell. At the doctor's for a follow up.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Dad is having an angiogram at 3 today to find out if he has any blockages that are causing the chest pain. I am going to go over there so I can talk directly with the doctor to find out why they felt it was medically safe to wait 2 days to run this test. There might be a good reason, but no one has been able to articulate that yet, so I figure going straight to the source is my best option.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Hee!! (As a side note, my current ring (we're getting rings made, but M's needs to be cast, and it's a favor from a friend, so it'll take a bit) is tungsten carbide, and is heavy like woah. I love it.)

Good news, sumi.

Congratulations, juliana! I loved all the pics and I thought your ring was gorgeous. You and M looked divine together.

brillig

So some friends are getting married at the justice of the peace today. She's from Ireland and they met online. She came to Utah a couple of months ago. They have a sort of master/slave relationship, in that she wears a collar all the time but she doesn't seem to act submissively. They announced their engagement about 3 weeks after she got here. The problem is that she hates Utah. They're going back to Ireland in a few weeks for a long visit, but I know he'll want to come back to Utah. I'm wondering if she's hoping they'll end up staying in Ireland.

I'm not close enough to them to say "Are you really sure about this?" so my job is to be happy and supportive etc. But I hate watching what looks like a trainwreck in the making. His family is fairly devout Mormon, he keeps bouncing around ways to be outwardly acceptable but privately rebellious, she's Irish Catholic, though possibly more culturally than spiritually. I like her, I sometimes despise him. I prefer my drama on the screen.
