Thanks everyone. I'm vacillating pretty rapidly between "WOO NMFP ANY MORE!" and "OMG SO HOSED FOR MONEY." I'm not announcing it on fb until tomorrow morning b/c S will tell the crew then. I told my parents, though, and StW, and my landlady, and some other people.
The ED stressed that it was purely financial, and nothing to do with performance. No severance, but at least I get my PTO paid out. I had an informal exit interview with the HR person, and talked to him about the Drama Llama and the other problem person. He had Thin Mints on his desk, so I asked if I could have one, and he gave me a whole sleeve. It was nice to have chocolate to hand. I will finish them shortly.
In a lovely coincidence, my dear friend C from Moldova, who married an American and lives in NC, asked me to call her. I did and she wanted to know if she and her husband could come visit over Easter! I said sure! I should have lots of free time. I haven't seen her in six years, so that will be nice. And I've never met her husband.
