Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
4) If nothing works, rent a steamer.
Skip to step 4. I keep forgetting that.
I am now, once again, a brunette. With some reddish tones. And I have outdoor worthy eyebrows again. Sadly, I am out of facial masks. Matter of fact, I don't remember the last time I owned a facial mask. Huh.
Tom, I read that as you had opened a store, and had to re-read a couple times.
Back in the US! Thank goodness for Internet on my phone once again! In LAX waiting for connection, eating overpriced food. Sadly, in most airports, where Alaska has gates the food sucks. Like, here there is a burger king, two Starbucks, newsstands, and some really awful looking sit-down fish place.
But Mexico was good an I didn't sunburn until Thursday!
a facial mask
As opposed to masks for other parts of your anatomy?
two Starbucks
Truly a sign of having returned to civilization.
I am in that "bored, but there's nothing I want to do that is reasonably feasible" state.
Ooh, the Prop 8 stage show is streaming from LA.
I have done the taxes and my FAFSA. Go me. And stuff.

Very impressive!!
meara, glad you had a nice vacation.

Me too!
Man, I just ate Vietnamese from up the street for the third time in 2 days. It is cheap, it is fresh, it is tasty, and it is easy. YUM.
Gonna have to go there soon...
After we WIPED THE FLOOR with Duke (their own floor, even better!), StW and I came back here and finished watching Invictus. It was a good movie, and Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon did great jobs, but man, Clint Eastwood is not my favorite director. It felt a little detached, and disjointed. I can see the emotional strings he's pulling, or trying to pull, and it doesn't work for me that well. I was a little disappointed, because rugby and Nelson Mandela? Two of my favorite things. Ah well.
It was also a weird feeling to watch the reenactment of that World Cup final, because I watched the game back in 1995, and I was rooting for the All Blacks at the time. Oops. I didn't really realize the larger story, and everyone worshipped Jonah Lomu. A 6'4", blindingly fast giant of a winger? He was damn near unstoppable [link]
From wikipedia:
His style of play at times defied description; one New Zealand commentator, Keith Quinn, was famously reduced to gasps as Lomu devastated England's backline.[8] After the game, Will Carling said: "He is a freak and the sooner he goes away the better".[9] Lomu's attacking prowess can be attributed in part to pure power; when near the tryline he often ran his 120 kg frame straight into or over any defenders who had the misfortune to get in his way (a move informally known as the 'Tongan sidestep'). However most of his famous tries were ignited by electric pace (as a schoolboy he ran the 100m in 10.8s) as he stepped "in-and-out" on his opposites and ran around them, then used his powerful fends on the cover defence.
Good times.
Then I finally persuaded StW to watch the first episode of Terriers. He laughed at a number of interchanges between Britt and Hank... and then he fell asleep. But didn't want to move off the love seat (note to Nora: the two of us and all three animals were curled up on that thing. It was VERY cozy) so I watched the rest while he snoozed. Damn, that was a good show. ::sigh::
meara,
I am envious of your vacation. I'm glad you had a wonderful one.
Has major buy ma this weekend. Bought a frame I wanted at Bloodbath, had a coupon plus a forgotten gift card, so got the frame for $17, down from $40. Wandered by the Macy's One Day Sale (side note -- the buyers in CT have the worse taste, I swear.) and found a $400 winter coat down to $184! I needed a new coat because the lining on my old coat was shredded, and it would have cost $300 to put in a new one. The styles are actually similar. I'm thinking that I should donate the old coat somewhere, if you take out the ripped lining, it's still warm.
