I've called in sick from insomnia, but like Plei, that usually meant working from home in between naps.
My last team was great about that; the entire editing staff was kind of nocturnal anyway, so whenever someone tried to schedule an 8AM meeting, the editing manager would laugh at them.
I've missed work because I was tired once or twice, but it was always the day after an exam day. Exam days mean that I work something like 13 hours, and I really just can't do that and then get up and work again the next morning.
So, I'm writing another monologue, dealing with my experiences and breakup with S, and I've included several medical terms. I want to include a vocabulary for the actor, but I feel like there's a term for that, besides "vocabulary" and I can't remember what it is. Any help, peeps?
These kids need to be taught the fine art of white lies. If he'd called in sick instead, there would have been some, "Uh-oh we're short a crew member," instead of, "What an idiot!"
Sorry if I seem snarky, smonster. I get kind of ragey lately with people's sleep issues since I haven't had more than a few hours of sleep at a time for over 2 years now (thanks, baby!). I've had to get myself up and into the office or to my computer in my home office every day anyway. My boss would call me out in a heartbeat if I called in tired. Sheesh.
Thank you, Dana. Cannot Brane. Have teh dum.
I need a new job as soon as possible. Life is too short to waste it here. Back to business as usual.
Monologue has been submitted. I'm all nervous again.
Fingers crossed, Sean! I know that must have been difficult for you to write and submit.
Not as hard as I thought it would be, but still hard. Next, I need to write something fluffy and frivolous.
