Scrappy, I smiled when I read the post, but cracked up when I saw DH's response.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

That's awesome, Scrappy. (She posted, from her bed, eating a scrap of cheese.) But you're totally right. And furthermore, I need to do the next bit, which is, decide to do something. I have stuff to do this week, but decided I needed a lazy Sunday. But then I didn't do fun Sunday stuff either, like repotting the sunroom plants or playing guitar (can't, the guitar is still in the van...soooo far from here.) Or even messing around with the Sims or reading. I do nothing, because I fail to do anything.
That's why I think flylady has been so successful with me, because she makes me intend to do things. Even little things, but I do them, and then they're done. Like the shredding. It seemed like an enormity of paper, but two 15 minute sessions from me, which inspired the SO and one session from him, and it's just about done. I have stashes of paper to deal with, so there will be more, but it needn't be this huge task. It's about living intentionally, which is something I talk to my kids a lot about, but need to deal with better for myself.
So yeah. Sunroom plants. That should be fun; I'll do that.
It's her DH, right? Yay Jars!
Possibly. The subject never came up and her facebook status said "in a relationship" so I assumed boyfriend. My bad.
We had another lovely day today wandering around Hampton court and then Pie and Pudding for dinner. So yum! And of course TCG is very much enjoying all of the beer available. So tired. Must fall down now.
Yeah, Jars and G. have been married for a few years now I believe.
Yay, London! Glad TCG is enjoying All The Beer!
I had not had a chance to meet her when they were last in MA, so I'm glad I finally got to do that.
Me too, they are awesome. As are you guys!
Aww, thanks!

I like that the first week's worth of baby steps basically boils down to "wash the damn dishes every night." She makes it sound much nicer (and, really, maybe that's 90% of it -- re-framing how I think about the confounded housework), but that's really all it is. The rest of week 1 is stuff like "get dressed down to your shoes," "go check out the online forum," etc., which is not what I consider actual work.
And I understand the reasons behind doing those other things, and I also think it's wise to make the first week basically "do the damn dishes every night." That way, it's really not more than committing to one chore every day.
Uh, not that I've been successful at doing the dishes every night, but I still think it's framed in a great way.
Yeah, I agree. And then I feel all accomplished about it even if all I did was wash the damn dishes every night. I made it all the way through the baby steps! So then I was all proud of myself, and I had to do crisis cleaning for guests, and then the next week was all the rooms I'd just done, so I basically took a week off, still doing the routines, but with no major tasks. I think it's built like that intentionally, with breathing room built in. Today the house is pretty messy with muddy paw prints and soot from the new fires, but I feel ok about it because I know I'll get to it with the weekly slipshod cleaning hour.
I still think it's framed in a great way.
I agree.
Yay, StW is coming over for takeout and tv. I could really use some snuggling about now.
