I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I dragged a sick Tom out for a lovely Engagiversary dinner at a wonderful place I've crossed paths with doing fundraising work but never ate at. It was really great! Yay, and yum.

Haven't heard anything today about prospective renter. Short sale, here we come!

Yay for delicious food and Engageaversaries. Boo for silent prospective renters.

Oh my. Seems I've opened a can of worms, then worked a long day. Oops. Sorry about that.

To distract, I announce, my stress relieving activity tonight was buying a magazine subscription (Mix) and MLB.TV premium, so I can watch Yankee games out here in CA.

Thankfully 1 of the large sources of stress is done, tomorrow should be mild to medium stress level. Friday will be crazy day. And then a ton of stress will hopefully be done.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Sorry Tom is sick! Seems to be a lot going around right now. Glad you had a lovely dinner anyway.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

We went to the house we're buying last night and met the seller. He was absolutely wonderful. He went through the whole house with us, showed us how to use everything, and asked us if we wanted him to leave the gas grill because he doesn't need it. I can't even begin to describe what a different experience this is from the last house we had an offer on.

I'm so glad, sj!

That sounds so wonderful sj. I'm glad you ended up walking away from the other house. Wishing you an as smooth as possible closing process.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

sj, I am incredibly happy for you that this current experience has been so much more stress-free and (almost) enjoyable. The house buying process can never be described as enjoyable, but the feeling of satisfaction once it's done is well worth it.
