I know where that is! Honestly I think a greyhound would be great and I have that rescue in mind when it comes time, but I'll have to wait.
I also just discovered there are miniature cattle breeds. I think that might be in our future as well.

Oh right, my question for sound-designer folks! I was loaned this microphone to use for a little bit while recording the GCS radio show, but I have to give back really soon. I like it a lot, and was dead simple to use. Is there something as good or better at a lower price point? Or is that the best combo of tech/cost I'm going to find?

You aren't going to get something better for less money. The Blue microphone are pretty good. I've not used that one specifically. Most of the mics that I'd recommend would actually cost more and you'd need an audio interface as well.
