Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Jilli, yay on the medical progress, boo hiss on the welts! Hope you target the source soon.

Might the welts be tied to one of the medications you're on? Have you tried Benadryl?

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

omg, that kind of making out is soooooo awesome. We hardly ever do that anymore but I have the fondest of memories about early on activities of that nature. I agree you need it after this week. Hope you are doing ok.

It was pretty awesome. I hope to do it again soon.

I'm doing better. I still look for him everytime I come home. Nights are hard. I've been avoiding coming home at night. The good thing is that I'm doing 2 shows right now so I stay pretty busy with rehearsals.

Today was rough. I cleaned his litter box and went through his toys to throw away the ones that are really torn up. I put everything I wanted to keep in his carrier and put it away. I know I'll get another kitty eventually so I don't want to throw it all away.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

I loved waking up to some guitar tips! That was awesome!! Thanks!! Yes, I was fully aware of the sore fingertips going into it. I tried to teach myself in high school, and failed miserably. It's that "I wanna be able to play that tune NOW!" syndrome, not the sore fingertips thing. So, I just have to work through that, and be happy with baby steps, and know that I will probably never be all that great, as long as I have fun. Plus, I'm hoping it helps give my hands something to do in the evenings aside from stress/boredom eating that I've seem to be doing a LOT these past few months. Last night I did the couple lessons on the iPad. Put it down for awhile, ate dinner. Then later on while watching tv, I just played around on it, not trying to PLAY anything per se, but working on finger strength to push the strings down all the way and NOT lean on other strings, and just general pushing my fingers into the strings to try and get them conditioned.

Pix, glad I was in your dream, wish it was something happier. I think we'd welcome a flood of applicants, given we only have 3 to choose from this year. Until I leave the academic world, then I'd probably hate all the extra competition.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

My poor D. He loses his fingertip calluses, and then he'll get on a jag and has to deal with sore finger until they build up again -- and he works on a keyboard all day.

He's got a bass, a resonator and...another guitar shaped instrument. I'm trying to get him to hang out with another of our guitar playing friends to be more social and to do it more often.

Guys are often weird. They seem to think making a date to do something together is like, a DATE. So strange.

do you think this is something external to you? might you have a wool or detergent sensitivity (for example)?

There isn't anything I can think of. Of course, until all of this started up, I would have blithely said I didn't have any allergies at all.

It's possible you're developing new ones because of all that your body has been through. I'm sorry you're still dealing with health issues.

Aw, dang it. I just bought BE mineral foundation, but that was b/c I forgot Aromaleigh was back. Maybe I should just take advantage and stock up.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Thanks, everyone, for the kind words on my weight loss. I still have very far to go, but I am determined to shed as much weight as I can without it being onerous.

ChiKat, I sympathize with you so much right now. I haven't posted about it before, because I just haven't been in a posting mood for months. My Tucker passed away two weeks ago and it was really hard to speak about it. When I talked to my daughter yesterday, she hadn't gotten the e-mail I'd sent after it happened and she asked me why I didn't call. And I was honest, I told her I was tired of always being the one to tell someone a loved one had died. I was the one who called everyone when my brother and my mother died. There was just no way I would have been able to get a single sound out of my mouth if I'd tried calling her. So I posted about it in LJ, but kept quiet pretty much anywhere else. But I'm trying to post more on the board, so I figure I need to bring that honesty to the board if I want to be a part of it.
