Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Yeah, meara... I'd pretty much get there the day before and sleep in the airport if I had to, and I wouldn't complain one bit! You are so generous for doing that. Like Erin, I'd totally be your PA the whole time! I hope, and believe, you will have an awesome time. You deserve it!

sj -- woo-hoo! That's fantastic news.

Great day today out in Lancaster, PA doing make-overs for women who are caretakers for special needs family members. Really well organized, attended, and staffed. I enjoyed being around the humans today. I... need to do that more often.

Taking a break from chores tonight and just going to chill on the interwebs and go to bed early. Great day, but also exhausting.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Man, I am so randomly cranky, and I don't know why*. I just got the sweetest email ever from the friend I'm writing a rec for, and the warm fuzzies lasted about ten seconds. Neighborfriend is trying to talk me into going two blocks to the corner bar, and I just want to take some Xanax and go to sleep. I could do Opposite Action and just go have one, but... don't wanna. Don't feel like doing my nails, or watching a DVD, or reading. Just wanna sleep.

* okay, I have an idea why, but I'm tired of talking about it and can't do anything about it, so fuckit.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I got me some good lovin' this afternoon followed by a nap followed by now cooking dinner.

Man, that romp couldn't come soon enough, I was starting to go insane!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

...but that means poor chia is bald! Heh.

Woo, sj! And hooray for the new sellers, boo to the old sellers, may they rot.

Gorgeous paint job and color, Erin. Enjoy the bar food.

I am being a slug because--redacted for reasons. Just ick, and no fun, and bleh. So, Instant watch, cranberry and soda, and snarky fun with my hon. I'm so exciting.

Argh. I've been on this pretty strict diet for two and a half weeks (though I would say probably half the days I"ve cheated somehow--sometimes just spoonful of peanut butter or a few rice cakes, sometimes a bit more (cupcake the day I accepted the new job). Half the time because I'm out and about and can't figure out what's available and convenient that's part of the diet. And I was excited because I'd lost a fair bit...and then weighed myself this morning and magically had gained back three pounds. WTF I thought! And had a pineapple coconut bun from the new asian bakery down the street.

...and then tried to have more meat than allowed this evening (the diet is meat and veggies and some fruits) and an orange? And now I feel grossly overly full. So...diet does seem to be shrinking my stomach/appetite?

I'm also definitely realizing that while on the diet, 85% of the time, I'm not actually HUNGRY, I just WANT things. Hard to not give in to the cravings, but good for me to know.

...now to see if I can stay even a LITTLE bit good while on vacation. I kinda doubt it.

meara, I've been on a two shakes and a clean meal diet for the last 14 days. I haven't cheated once, but I've still days where I gained 4 lbs and others where I've lost a lb. a day.

It seems the body just fluctuates, regardless.

I haven't been hungry at all...but did have one WANT episode when I was upset. I think the supplements I've been taking really have increased my satisfaction and reduced my need for more food.

Now, if my skin would just clear up. I'd be golden.

...but that means poor chia is bald! Heh.

Heh. I'm a mean muthuh.

I do have to say, I think the chia seeds expand in the belly. I noticed that they had a kind of gelatinous thing going on when I chewed them. Now I'm _stuffed_.

Tomorrow, it's just fresh coconut milk and juice.

I chatted with a fellow who is on day 3 of the same raw juice fast and he said he felt terrific.

It'll be an adventure.

Ground chia seeds mixed with water are often used as an egg replacer in vegan baked goods, because it becomes a gel and acts as a binder the way eggs do. So maybe it becomes a gel in your tummy and that's why it's filling. t /Cliff Claven

This makes total sense to me.

Thanks so much for saying that. Now I know I wasn't imagining it.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I am no good at things like juice fasts. They make me dizzy and headachy.

Out of sheer funk, I ended up with muscle spasms last night and I feel like I did a hundred situps and then was hit by a truck.

My trivia team did do the best we've ever done in a tournament today, so that's something.
