Yes. Lucky for you, people may be in danger.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Sorry, erin. I wish I could help with that. Maybe there's something in the Pervocracy blog? [link] she listed a BDSM 101 there. Again, I have no idea how good it is, as it's not my world. (Edit: Jilli's advice is probably better).

ION, Yesterday I was guiding a client at work who didn't want for some reason to read the manual I sent to all of our clients about a system we're offering. There was a point where there was an echo, and I could hear myself.

Man, I have no idea how anyone is able taking orders or instructions from me. It's a miracle. I sound, plain and simple, like a 9 year old on helium.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Late-late/early-early shift checking in.

Trust my rage

I am annoyed that I am awake. My very small baby is sleeping soundly next to me. But I guess that means im sort of caught up in sleep.

My brother and family are driving to visit as we speak. I am excited about their visit but also annoyed and I finally figured out why. My parents want bro and fam to have a good visit do they always spend the time before they get here trying to tell me what to do. (Remember, niece can't have sugar; they wi sleep at our house so everyone has space; dont ask brother to help around house because SIL will get annoyed). It drives me nuts because I don't like being told what to do but also, I'm not a moron. I can figure out how to get along with them for a few days. I have social skills!

Librarian Warlord

I wonder what they tell your brother to do/not do while visiting, Stephanie. Maybe you and your brother can have a good laugh about that someday.

My girl woke up crying last night an hour or so after I put her down, and then spent the next few hours in my bed. I have a love hate relationship with having her in the bed. She's cute and it's cozy, but when she actually falls asleep I can't get any because she snores and flails. I returned her to her own bed at about 3 a.m.

Our wings are not tired.

So my intention was to do a bit of work early this morning, but then I had to read all the night posts!

A bit of a meara but I had way more reactions and comments in my head!

maybe I'll be in my new nifty condo with fab view, and folks could come down and sit a spell on my porch and watch the sun set over the Los Angeles Basin

Yes!

Sorry, I see nipples, and I smile, apparently, even when it's printed.

Nipples Nipples Nipples

My toes are my least favorite body part, I wish I had a new book to read and I have way too many pads.

There is a common thread here; I just know it.

Hardison on Leverage is still my favorite.

Well, yeah. But I am a bit smitten with Parker.

And my something I learned today is Shotgun mics!

M*A*S*H episodes can still make me laugh or cry on the Nth viewing.

BaconFest, oh my. Every town needs one of these. We do have a GarlicFest, which is an olfactory delight.

Are you in Gilroy, CA?

Fluffy the chair pulled me to sleep, alas, I am awake, far too early, and not sleepy enough to just transfer to bed. So syncing new songs to iPad and iPhone. Alas, iPhone doesn't seem to want to sync...grrr. And it looks like disc 3 of the 4 disc set didn't rip. But the Beatles LOVE soundtrack and Bing Crosby did, so, 5 out of 6 ain't bad, right?

water

Curious. So, I did rip disc 3, but the CDDB lists it as Disk 2 in the name field, but disc 3 in the disc field. Most interesting. So, it looks like it's copied over to my iPad. And ejecting the iPhone and reconnecting it got it working, so it's syncing now. Once that's done, off to bed to try and catch a few more zzz's.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

So, I got an envelop in the mail yesterday from my state legislature representative. Just an envelop. There are post office stamps on it - one says "received unsealed" and the other says "rec'd without contents". The flap was torn up a bit. Over one of the tears is a piece of tape. So, what? The post office gets this thing, there's nothing in it, and to keep the nothing from getting out, they tape it up? Or is that to prevent some unauthorized thing from getting in to attack and kill the nothing?

I should specify that I have no reason to believe that the original contents were terribly important. This representative has a charming (in this digital age) habit of sending out typed letters responding to written messages from her constituents, even emails. I have on occasion emailed her about various issues. Due to the volume of messages she receives, it does take her awhile to reply. It's been so long since I emailed her about whatever-it-was, that I don't remember what it could have been about. I imagine that the letter either said, "thank you for contacting me about x issue, here is my stance on it, here is what legislation is pending about it, and here are the chances it will make it out of committee". That, or "stop stalking me, dammit."
